Warli art is one of India’s most ancient visual languages, traditionally practiced in the villages of Maharashtra, where simple geometric forms come together to narrate scenes of community, rhythm, and harmony with nature. What makes this piece special is that the artwork you see here isn’t sourced or replicated — it was created exclusively for this kurti.

We collaborated closely with a local artist from Kolkata, spending nearly three weeks developing a custom Warli-inspired composition. The final artwork depicts a village sheera — a living, breathing scene that reflects daily rituals, shared spaces, and the quiet poetry of rural life. Every figure, movement, and detail was thoughtfully placed, making this print a story rather than a motif.

The base color is a soft, grounded red — not loud or overpowering, but the kind of red that feels wearable, warm, and effortless for everyday dressing. Printed all over in delicate white, the artwork flows seamlessly across the fabric, creating balance and visual calm.

The kurti features a broad yet modest U-shaped neckline, finished with crisp white piping that frames the collar beautifully. Pearl-imitated latkans adorn the sleeves and the ghera, adding movement and an understated elegance. The repetition of white — from the artwork to the piping to the pearls — ties the entire design together, giving it a refined, cohesive finish.

At the back, a white thread corset detail not only adds contrast but also enhances the silhouette, allowing for an adjustable, flattering fit. Additional white piping on the sleeves and neckline ensures the structure stands out while keeping the look soft and feminine.
